    In March 2008, we requested the Tour d'Afrique to profile colon cancer during their itinerary across Kenya. Besides that, we have partnered with the Aga Khan University Hospital and Kenya Cancer Association (KENCASA) in regular cancer awareness campaigns through cycling.

  • Tour de Afrique traverses Kenya

    Tour de Afrique is a cycling expedition/race that annually crosses the African continent from Cairo to Cape Town. It features 96 cycling days or stages averaging 1239kms (77 miles) each, broken up by 22days of travel for a total 120days in Africa

    They say great things come in small packages and just so was the crowd of 10 gathered at Kenol Petrol Station(Kengeles West) waiting to start the journey on to wheels to Magadi. Everyone arrived bubbling over with energy ready for an adventure

Wheels of Africa was formed in October 2008 as an organization to champion the culture of cycling in Africa. To date we have about 30 paid-up members from all walks of life ranging from casual riders, commuter cyclists, bicycle mechanics, competitive bike riders, para-cyclists and both young and older learners, learning to cycle.
